sdcc day 2

makin it short, i only got 12 minutes.

This morning at breakfast I got into a conversation with a girl who was going to the con. We talked for a while and then Adalisa suddenly shows up, the mexican girl I met last year, sat near us and said hello. Apparently these two were roomies this year! They were talking about comics, fan fiction, and how great "the walking dead" comic is. *Hello to all my SDCC friends from the hostel*

Last night was the Final Fantasy: dear friends concert. Great great concert. I loved it all. Best part for all you FF8 fans out there, they were playing Eyes On Me, and you know how in the ballroom dance scene, at the end Squall and Rinoa are dancing and the camera goes low and looks up at the skylight and fireworks start in a kinda corny fashion? Well, as soon as the first firework burst happened, a REAL burst went off and when we looked over, ACTUAL FIREWORKS started to coincide with the fireworks on the screen!! We all just about died.

Got to see some neat stuff, Keith Knight had a great panel, John K did a great panel on ren and stimpy. Saw part of a movie called "a scanner darkly" which is another movie like "waking life" except animated better and a real sci fi movie. Lou Schiemer, the filmation prez talked about his life's work and He Man, and it was really interesting. Saw the "Flight" anthology people talk about how they are working on it, they already are filled up to the 4th volume. Future artists include Mike Mignola and Jeff smith is in vol. 2, which I just purchased. Kazu kabuishi is the new hero of alternative comix. Will just wander around today. Gotta go, please gimme a call or drop a line here, I am here alone!!

btw, there are an awful lot of LJ addresses here on this computer's history! wow!
